Project Description: |
Camp Hope is a school for disable and underprivileged children, with 130 students, from kindergarten to grade 5. It provides vocational workshops for disabled teenagers, medical attention, rehabilitation, afterschool programs and recreational activities. The Foundation also provides accommodation in Casa Hogar for some disabled children. Currently a new project is in development to create a camp ground and workshop, at a different site.

Range of Tasks: |
There are a broad range of activities that volunteers can undertake at the foundation, depending on their interests and experience. Areas of work available for those with specific experience include medical care, rehabilitation, social work and teachers´ aids. Other activities include assistance with recreation activities for both disabled and young children, daily care for disabled children, live-in volunteer in Casa Hogar, construction and maintenance, office work, cooking and cleaning.

Time Committment: |
One week. The longer that a volunteer can spend the better for both parties. |
Skills required: |
The foundation requires from volunteers; engagement, flexibility, enjoy working with children, willing to adapt to another culture. |
Schedule: |
Mornings are better for working with the children, although schedules are flexible. Also can work out of house at the Casa Hogar, or help with weekend activities. |
