Welcome to the schools section of the Yanapuma website!

One of the aims of Yanapuma Foundation is to provide opportunities for cultural exchange between children of developed and developing countries so that:

• each may learn from the other, sharing information, ideas, and impressions about our different cultures, values, ideals and the worlds we live in
• each may learn about the ways that our lives, our decisions and our actions affect the other despite the distance between us
• together we may learn what we need to live in our own place within a globalized world

We are also beginning to develop the EcoEscuelas concept for rural marginalized schools in Ecuador. Our aims are to work with school children and staff towards the goals of making each school more sustainable and educating children about sustainability through related curricular activities.

We see these two initiatives as closely linked, and are always happy to hear from schools that are interested in working with us on these related issues. We look forward to hearing from you.
