FUNGERES is a foundation that works on recycling projects at all levels in Ecuador. In Quito they are involved in a recylcing project in the historic center, working directly with the indigenous people who scrape a living from hunting for recyclable materials from the trash. They work to promote small enterprises, offer pyschological counseling, and will be opening a daycare center to offer the recycler's children education and better nutrition.
